Our Home

Over the years I have come to realize that a house is the home you make it. Since, Brian began is AGR tour in 1999 we have lived in 6 different houses along the way. Some were better than others and some looked good on the outside but were awful on the inside. The best one by far was and always will be our house in Fort Thomas, Ky. We knew the house we are now renting was meant to be when the landlord told us the previous renters were Lorri and Larry Cerny (aka...Col and Mrs. Cerny). What are the odds that we would rent a house The Cerny's just moved out of several weeks before we came to have a look? Yes, it's older and smaller than the rental in Illinois but it has everything we need to be happy. Our family and the dog of course. No fighting over which bedroom the kids would get, they are the same exact size... Shelby has a new to her Daybed that I found on craigslist and I have to admit it's a beautiful bed. Brian will have room to get his models out again and according to the kids it will be wonderful having a finished basement that isn't creepy. I will have plenty of space to get my scrapbooks and sewing machine out in the basement. I purchased a desk from the couple we bought Shelby's from they are PCSing to McDill AFB.  The kitchen is a bit small but it'll work. The school district so far is wonderful, Shelby is cheering on the freshman squad and Mommy has volunteered to coordinate FR/JV team dinners for away games. The cheer coach does this for away games that way she doesn't have to worry about cheerleaders missing the bus they just stay after school. Brian is still working in Crystal City for the time being until the new building is ready at Ft. Belvoir. Hopefully in the next couple of days we will have our household goods shipment and we can start putting this house together and sit  down for dinner instead of standing...More to come later.
